Abstract

This article presents a qualitative research study of bibliographic and documentary nature, focusing on the integration processes of new employees in Federal Institutes (FIs). These processes are essential due to the specific challenges posed by institutional characteristics in meeting their objectives. Employees need to understand the educational processes within the school environment to effectively perform their roles and address societal demands. Institutional documents available to the public were analyzed following three steps: a Google search using specific descriptors, searches on the websites of the 38 federal institutions, and analysis of documents from the sections of Personnel Management, Planning and Development, and Access to Information.

The results revealed that only 9 out of the 38 FIs have systematized integration programs, highlighting a gap in the formalization of the initial processes of organizational culture learning. The absence of a structured process may hinder new employees’ adaptation, create feelings of exclusion, and compromise professional and institutional identification. The study concludes that it is essential for FIs to articulate personnel management policies that prioritize integration, fostering professional development and strengthening institutional ties. This initiative is crucial to aligning employees with institutional objectives, enhancing organizational effectiveness, and building a collective identity within Federal Institutes.
