Abstract

School Inclusion requires that other sectors that make up Educational Institutions are aligned in promoting an educational process accessible to students on the autistic spectrum, so that they can follow their academic trajectory with equity in the time they need to achieve success in their studies. learning. Thus, the present study aimed to investigate the number of autistic students enrolled in Federal Institutes, whether these Institutes have autistic students who have graduated; to analyze the activities aimed at students diagnosed with autism by the Center for Assistance to People with Specific Educational Needs (NAPNE), in promoting the Inclusion of autistic Students in Federal Institutes. NAPNE, being a sector that develops activities and services, both for the internal community of the Federal Institutes and for the external community, assumes a fundamental role in propagating the importance of barrier-free education, as well as ensuring students' target audience for education especially the stay and successful exit at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology. This research, with a qualitative approach, is exploratory in nature. The research made it possible to identify that monitoring, guidance and promotion activities need to be applied more frequently by NAPNE, in addition to the significant number of autistic students enrolled in the IF.
