Author Guidelines

The authors automatically declare to Revista Mundi Engenharia, Tecnologia e Gestão that all individuals involved had a relevant contribution to the submitted article and are responsible for all concepts, opinions, and interpretations contained therein; and that no information regarding research funding or relationships with individuals or companies that may have a direct interest in the data presented in the article has been omitted. This information must be included in the article in the sections “Author Contributions”, “Funding”, and “Conflict of Interest”, respectively.

Articles published by Revista Mundi aim to achieve national or global relevance. This does not mean that local applications are excluded, but rather that the scientific writing must clearly articulate how the research relates to broader contexts. Likewise, articles should not be merely confirmatory and, whenever applicable, in addition to describing and discussing results, should provide explanations and comparisons with the relevant literature.

The evaluation, publication, and access to articles are free of charge. Revista Mundi does not charge any fees to authors or readers.

1. Submission Process

The original article may only be submitted online (submissions by paper or email will not be accepted). Two files must be submitted. The first must include author identification and the second must be anonymized. Files must be submitted in text document format with a .docx extension, strictly following the provided template. All article metadata must be completed at the time of submission, including the ORCID of each author.

2. General Settings

Manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish, and English will be accepted. The main text must be formatted in Arial font, size 12; line spacing of 1.15; and justified alignment. The article must have a minimum of 10 pages and a maximum of 25 pages, including references. Figures, charts, and tables must appear within the text, not at the end of the article. If additional files or data are required to support the reviewers’ analysis, they must be submitted as supplementary files. Authors are encouraged to make their data/code available to enhance reproducibility and replicability. Authors may use any online repository of their choice for this purpose. Examples include Zenodo and Mendeley Data.

Direct quotations longer than three lines must be presented in a separate paragraph, with a left indentation of 4 cm, justified alignment, Arial font size 10, with 10 pt spacing before and after the quotation. Footnotes should be avoided; however, if necessary, they must be concise and sequentially numbered using Arabic numerals, in Arial font size 10, left-aligned. Bibliographic references must not be placed in footnotes but instead appear in the main body of the text, following the format: (FREITAS, 2002, p. 32), with the complete reference list provided at the end of the article. More information on citations and references is provided in a specific section below.
