Abstract

This article analyzes the concept of competence in the organizational context, focusing on Information Technology (IT) management. Using the Methodi Ordinatio methodology, a bibliometric analysis identified the essential competencies for IT managers. Results show that IT managers must combine technical and managerial skills, such as leadership, strategic vision, and adaptability, to align technology investments with organizational goals. The rapid technological evolution requires continuous updating of competencies, reinforcing their strategic role in innovation and organizational performance.
